How SkoolBro keeps each school's data safe

Separate records for every school group, access that fits each job, encryption for the most sensitive details and a log of every change.

Schools hold some of the most personal information there is: children's names, health notes, family contacts and fees. Here is how SkoolBro looks after it.

Every school group is kept apart

Each record belongs to one organization, and the server checks that on every request. Our automated tests also try to open each kind of record from another organization's account, and they fail if any attempt gets through.

People see what their job needs

Roles decide what someone can do, and campus access decides where. A teacher takes attendance and enters marks, an accountant works with fees, and nobody sees a campus they do not work at unless you give them access.

The most sensitive details are encrypted

Identity numbers and medical notes are stored encrypted. Only people allowed to see sensitive details can read them, and they never appear in the audit log.

Signing in safely

Owners use two-step sign-in with an authenticator app. Repeated wrong passwords lock the account for a while, and you can sign out of your other devices from your account page. Changing roles and other sensitive actions ask for your password again.

A record of every change

Every change is written to an audit log with who made it and when, so a school can see what happened to any record.

Support only when you ask

SkoolBro staff cannot open your school's records. When you need help, an owner can give our support team access for a limited time and end it at any moment. Everything support staff do is recorded.
