New in SkoolBro: payroll, library, transport and more

Leave and payroll, the library, transport, inventory, certificates and reports are now part of every SkoolBro account.

SkoolBro now covers the work that happens around the classroom as well as in it. These parts are in every account, and they follow the roles and campus access you have already set up.

Leave and payroll

Staff ask for leave from their phones and see how many days they have left. A manager approves or turns down each request, and nobody can approve their own. Payroll starts from each person's salary and its parts, takes off unpaid leave and, if the school chooses, absences, and needs a second person to approve it. Staff then find their payslips in SkoolBro.

Library

Add books with their accession numbers, lend them to students and staff with due dates and limits, renew them and take them back at the desk. If the school charges late fines, SkoolBro works them out, and families get a reminder when a book is overdue.

Transport

Set up vehicles, routes and stops with pickup and drop times, then put students on a route. The transport fee goes onto the monthly invoice, and drivers get a printable list of their riders with parents' phone numbers.

Inventory

Keep stock at each campus, record what comes in and goes out, move it between stores and count it. SkoolBro shows which items are running low.

Certificates

Issue leaving, character and enrollment certificates from wording your school controls. Each certificate has a number and a code that anyone can check online, and one issued by mistake can be revoked.

Reports

School leaders get one page with students, classes, attendance, staff, fees and more for each campus. There are also reports for attendance by day and grade, fees by month, enrollment by grade and how each exam went.

Also new

  • A portal where parents and students see attendance, homework, results, fees, library books and transport.
  • Messages between staff and parents about a student, and announcements to a school, campus, grade or class.
  • A bell in the app with your own notices, such as a decision on your leave or a new payslip.

Notices go out by email and in the app. Text messages and WhatsApp will follow once they are connected.
